The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 1997. The Department offers qualitative training and scope for more research. The Dept. provides state-of- art computing facilities to the students. It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of undergraduate and postgraduate degree students. The Courses offered in the department meet the requirements of both industry and research. The curriculum is designed to train the students in developing application programs (Software) and also designing and developing computing systems (Hardware).
To provide computer science engineering education that nurtures innovation, creativity, and excellence, and produces competent graduates who can address the complex challenges of the industry and society.

In the context of Indian contribution in the area of computer application in India as
well as in
global level, the department of Computer Science and Engineering has got a pivotal role
to play
in producing competent and committed computer professionals.
Our Department is supported by disciplined and dedicated faculty. They always come
forward to
enhance the Excellency of the department academically. We own a crowning glory in the
list of
its achievements. Backed with this academic excellence, more than 70% of our students
are being
placed in different reputed MNC’s every year, setting bench marks in the campus
recruitments.
The department is headed by Dr. K. Guru Raghavendra Reddy. The department has eminent,
experienced and dynamic teaching faculty, to guide the students. Started with an intake
of 60 in
years 97-98, today, it has grown up to 120. It also consists of PG Course M.Tech (CSE)
with an
intake of 18 Our department own 750 higher and configured machines with all the required
licenced software. We are proud to say, our department has modeled itself into a trend
setting
one and act as a reference to others.
Our department has the State-of-art kind of laboratories with a 24 hour Internet
facility
accessible to both faculty and students.We have a department library for faculty as well
as
students.
The faculty and students are encouraged to attend the workshops and seminars within the
campus
as well as organized by several institutions and JNTU. Many of our students won first
and second
prizes in various paper presentations held at various places.
Many of our students are well equipped with various latest Microsoft Technologies and
other
programming skills. They developed several app’s and successfully uploaded into Windows
Store.
From windows store , many people from various countries downloaded and used
them.
Many our students have secured more than 90 percentage in recent Gate exam and also they
obtain
high scores in GRE,TOEFL&IELTS exams.
The students made habituation of doing in house project as a part of their academics.
They are
provided with a platform in the department where they can turn their innovative ideas
into
Projects and models. The faculty and students are encouraged to attend the workshops and
seminars within the campus as well as organized by several institutions and JNTU. Many
of our
students achieved awards in various paper presentations held at various places.
The students of CSE department have formed an association by name ”Wunder kinds”, where
they
conduct personality development programs, technical quiz’s, and group discussions among
them
selves to understand the developments in the technology.
The pass percentage of our department is always 75% and also than 70% of our final year
students
have already being selected in various MNC’s and companies.
Some of the practices of the department like teaching with lesson plans ,conduction of
regular
tests, mentoring activities, focusing on weak students, conduction of department level
placement, supporting activities like conducting mock test, interviews and group
discussion have
helped the students to achieve greater heights in their academics and placement
activities to
add value to their education. Eligible students are well placed in high profile
companies like
Infosys, Tech Mahendra, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture etc. with good packages.
The students of undergraduate program in Computer Science & Engineering will have
PO-1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO-2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
PO-3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO-4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO-5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO-6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO-7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO-8:Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO-9: Individual and teamwork: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
